Remember, "Right Clicking" (an old term from the mouse and stone axe days) can be accomplished by holding down the CONTROL key and then clicking or, if you have it enabled, you can tap with two fingers on your track pad to open the menu.
Here's a quick tip on how to open a PDF file in Preview from your web browser. How many times have you seen a PDF file but wanted to save a copy or be able to enlarge the view like you can do in Preview? Here's how... I found this out accidentally today while viewing a manual for my digital tablet online. I evidently right clicked (in my case I tapped with two fingers on the tablet) and the Right Click context menu popped up. "Open with Preview.app" was one of my options. Selecting it, the document immediately opened in Preview. Now I could expand the view or zoom in to read it better. Some of that you can do in the web browser, but it's easier with Preview. You can also save the document when you're done.

My earlier post discussed how to make grid lines visible when printing a Numbers spreadsheet. The idea is to make it more readable. Here is a better way to do that while making your printed out put more visually appealing.
By default, Numbers does not print grid lines. Someone figured no one wanted that, but it's clear that a lot of folks do want grid lines to help make a spreadsheet more readable. There actually is a better way to do that without turning on grid lines, but let's start with that.
If you want to zoom in while viewing a webpage in Safari, hold down the Command key and press the plus key ("+") on your keyboard. To zoom back, press the minus key ("-").
OK - this is very cool. If you have not already done so, make sure you add the Social Media icons element to your home page and, make sure you activate them! Here's how.
The ability to view the calendars for the various resources at the school needs to be turned on the Calendar web interface. Here is a link to how to turn them on. Once those calendars have been subscribed, you can then view them in iCal. Here's how...
I learned something really neat today and I wanted to share it with those of you who use Weebly. There may be a situation where you would like to re-use an image you've already uploaded to Weebly. Rather than uploading another version of the file, which, of course, you can do, here's a little trick that will save you some time.
I was in a quandry about how to create an image signature like we use in Apple Mail for the GMail web interface. Then I found Gravatar.
This past summer, when I installed Google Drive, I thought it might be a good alternative to Dropbox. It offered more storage and I thought it would integrate well with the rest of the Google suite we were using. I was wrong. Here are instructions on how to remove it so you no longer get those annoying update messages.
One of the biggest problems I've encountered with video editing software is making sure that the media you are using is consistent from video capture through timeline editing and final render. For that reason I'm a big fan of using Keynote as a way to standardize or make sure all your media will render the way you want it, particularly if you are using photos or other static graphics (like clip art, charts, etc.).
