When I was in high school I played a lot of golf. My buddy Ben and I begin playing as soon as the course opened until so late at night we had to listen to where the ball dropped because it had gotten so dark we couldn't see the ball in flight. Boy, those were the days!
I noticed one thing when I was playing regularly. When I played with good golfers, my own game improved. When I played with poor golfers, my game became worse.
Maybe that was just my way of playing "nice" with my fellow players, nah, not really. I'm not sure what the reason is, but I suspect there is a good psychological explanation for it.
I think it's similar to the idea "surround yourself with successful people and you will be successful."
OK, I've got to tell you I'm not a big fan of platitudes and buzzwords because they are more conceptual rather than practical in real life. That is, its easy to say, "Think Positively". Its a lot more difficult to think positively when a deadline is looming and you have neither the time nor resources to meet it!
So that's it, no big thing. If you want to be at the top of your game, play with others who are also at the top of their game.
